Educated at Millfield School, where he developed a keen interest in sport, Richard returned to Devon to join the family business in 1976.
He is a Director of several companies that operate retail stores and garden centres in North and South Devon. Other business interests include the leisure industry in the United States.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors and lives in Torquay with his wife and three children. He brings his substantial financial and business experience.
